Skegness Judo & Jujitsu Club

Instructors

Club Instructor. Malcolm Sawyer.

Malcolm would have us believe that he is in his late thirties, which would be amazing as he has been involved in the world of martial arts for more than 40 years.

Malcolm is the club senior instructor a 5th Dan (black Belt (or Godan)) in Judo, 2nd Dan (Nidan) in Ju-Jitsu, and 1st Dan (Shodan) in Gojo-ru Jitsu.

Even at his extreme age he still gets on the mats and takes a full and active part in the training of students of all ages and ranks.

Both Mark Mason (Judo) and Mark Taylor (Ju-Jitsu) have been taught by Malcolm (which probably explains a lot!!) both of whom are now 1st Dan in their respective arts

Ju-Jitsu Instructor. Mark Taylor.1st Dan Ju-Jitsu

Mark has been involved in martial arts for over 25 years starting out in Sankukai karate. Over the years he trained in many styles of karate and even tried Ninjutsu!!

9 years ago Marks 1st Ju-Jitsu club closed and he found his way to the Skegness Judokwai. Under the tutelage of Malcolm in 2007 he was promoted to the Rank of 1st Dan (Shodan) in ju-jitsu and is now the assistant instructor of Ju-Jitsu at the club.

Judo Instructor. Mark Mason.1st Dan Judo.

Mark Mason has been practicing the art of  judo for well over 30 years. During this time he has travelled all over the country learning new techniques and putting them to practice.

In he’s prime Mark bagged up a total of 47 trophies and was part of the Leicestershire  judo squad.
